Only one of the three joined boxes is able to be opened.

KW-8: "Three cubes are connected. It is impossible to separate them. One of joining plates is the key. If you slide the 1st step plate of one box, you can not open the other two boxes. It takes 38 (8+7+8+7+8) moves to open all the lids at the same time. This box is completely different from Snake Cube (KW-6). I developed completely new mechanism." -Karakuri Creation Group

KW-8-2: "I remade KW-8. Simplification of an internal structure and a surface design were changed. The movements are same." -Karakuri Creation Group
