In the 1980's, Super Croix (Super Cross, in French) was the only puzzle in Arjeu's catalog with a difficulty level of 6/6. It is a 18-piece burr with no holes, however, once the plain keys are out, the remaining pieces still need a few moves to come out.

It is not to be mistaken with the Triple Croix, another 18-piece cross designed by Jean-Paul Pierlot, that looks the same.

The shape of the first, third and fourth black pieces from the bottom, in the picture below, makes them fragile. And since Arjeu's Super Croix were quite tight, it is not uncommon to find this puzzle with a broken piece inside !
