"When I saw this come up on Ishino’s site, I knew I had to make it….many thanks to Mr. Eyckmans for his kind permission! This put together puzzle blurs the line between packing and interlocking puzzles. With a level 4.4.17 solution, there’s some dastardly trickiness going on that will surprise you. The interaction between the first two pieces is quite surprising, replete with dead ends and other surprises. Since everyone likes lollys of different flavors, I made the pieces of four nicely contrasting woods. The box is solid walnut, with a labor intensive beveled construction which is not only strong, but quite attractive as well. Attention to detail included keeping consecutive pieces from the same plank together during construction so that the tone of the box matched." -Eric Fuller
