"While discussing the computer-aided design of high-level 18-piece burrs with Jack Krijnen, I tried using hand-selected identical notchable pieces for a 24-piece burr, a similar configuration to Bill Cutler’s S/M_24 or Bruce Love’s Lost Day designs except that each piece is 1 unit shorter. It was a surprise to find that using 24 identical notchable pieces resulted in this burr which has a unique level 13-8-3-4-7-3-2-4-2-2-2-2-2-3 solution! There are 217 solutions to pack the pieces but only one of them can be disassembled!
This puzzle has all the nice features – identical notchable pieces and unique high-level solution. A prototype made out of plastic centimetre cubes show that there are several possible initial moves and disassembly is tricky."
