IPP25 (July 2005 - Helsinki)

"The wood used in this puzzle has two layers - one side is dark and the other side is light. The solved puzzle is a slightly skewed version of the Finnish flag. (The actual flag is a dark blue cross on a white background.) In order to make the puzzle 'work', it is necessary that none of the pieces can be turned over, so their shapes must not be mirror-symmetric, and the area to be filled also cannot be mirror symmetric. The one exception to this is the rectangle in the center, which has 'Finland' on one side and 'IPP25' on the other.

This was my souvenir puzzle at the 25th International Puzzle Party." -Bill Cutler
