"This puzzle was Les Shader's IPP25 Design Competition puzzle. It is an interesting assembly, the goal of which is to form a rectangular brick using the Quad pieces. Each quad piece is made up of 4 units, and each unit, when solved, has a hole filled by a rod. Most of the rods are glued into place, but one free floating rod drasticly increases the difficulty of a solution. Each puzzle is constructed from solid ambrosia maple. Only one of the pieces contins a glue joint; the rest were milled from solid pieces of wood. 14 copies were made for sale." -Eric Fuller
