I don't think that will be a big problem, we just need to use common sense.
If it's for the wiki and there are worries that certain images give too much away then don't post such pictures. If the designers already have already released images like that then it doesn't matter anyway. However, I think if we have a subforum where users can request access by agreeing not to re-post the information/pictures all over the place and not to use the information for any financial gain then I don't see the problem.

I'll setup a subforum later and we'll see how it goes, it it's a flop or someone complains then we can try to think of something else.

I think that's the way to go. Give it a try and see how it works out.
