Is this puzzle missing a piece?

Post by chrisotherwise » May 2nd, 2017, 2:30 pm

Hi,

I've been given this puzzle as a present. There are no instructions and I can't find anything exactly like it on the web. The five pieces fit into the box very easily so that I suspect that either I'm missing 1 or 2 pieces or there's some other goal of which I'm unaware.

Has anybody seen this puzzle before - and if so could you advise me if I'm missing any pieces so I can get them made?

Many thanks!

I also have this puzzle in my collection, and I can confirm that you are not missing a piece. It is not designed as a packing puzzle, but as a tangram variation. The challenge of this puzzle is to make 58 symmetrical shapes, see the attached 'instruction' sheet. Image
