Hi to everyone! :-)

Five days ago, during our visit to the Karakuri Museum, I fell in love
with the magnificent Rotary Box made by Akio Kamei, and which was
given as a Christmas present in 2011. Link here:

It is not a terribly complex puzzle, but the concept was brilliant,
and in my opinion it is one of the most beautiful boxes I have ever
seen (in a mathematical and geometric sense).

If there is one for sale, please do let me know!

:-)

PS. I have also posted this request to the Renegade Puzzlers Forum.

Hi Pantazis,

Welcome to Puzzle Place! :D

At one point, there were a number of these for sale as quite a few people were disappointed by the simplicity of the mechanism. I'm not sure there's any for sale anywhere at the moment but have you tried asking Wil Strijbos? I've bought a few of or the less commonly seen Karakuri boxes from him in the past. He's also good friends with Kamei, so maybe he'll be able to source on if he doesn't have one?

Thank you for the welcome note, and also thank you for the information!
The message has been sent, and hopefully I could get this lovely puzzle.

:)

Hi Pantazis - when I said I'd asked someone to keep an eye out for one... that was Wil! :-) All roads in puzzle-dom lead to Strijbos it seems!
