We are happy to propose our new range of puzzles. ;)

Nickel Box
http://arteludes.com/produit.php?ref=NI ... rubrique=3

This is the last version of the Burr-in-Cage. This time, more than a simple puzzle, it’s a real masterpiece. A mix craftsmanship skills and precious woods.
It is so beautiful that you won’t dare to play with it !

Image

The most precious woods have been used to craft this puzzle :

- Black Ebony for the box

- Padauk for the inner parts (18 puzzles) or Purpleheart (2 puzzles)

- Ash for ornamentation

All colors are natural, this game is only treated and polished.

This puzzle was created by Donald OSSELAER, and Stéphane CHOMINE took part, perfecting the diposition of the ornamentation. This collaboration, with Maurice VIGOUROUX’s craftmanship, allowed the realisation of this amazing puzzle.

It is one of these puzzles that can’t be manufactured with the usual tools because of the inner angles on some of the pieces. Once again, Maurice Vigouroux manages to cut all of the pieces in plain wood, without any gluing joint, except of course for the box and the dowels.

This puzzle is as difficult as beautiful. Its disassembling requires a lot of patience and determination. 28 moves are necessary to take away the first piece and there are a lot of dead ends since the first move. A total of 68 moves are needed to solve this puzzle. It’s the current record for this type of puzzle.

It exists only one way to reassemble this puzzle with the correct pattern.

This puzzle is the end of the creation process begun with the Xenon and Ultraburr. It contains basically all the tricks developed in the bigger Millenium.
More than 100 moves are needed to take away the first piece (even with rotations allowed).
This puzzle is aimed for real puzzles and wood craftsmanship enthusiasts.

Triple Croix from PIERLOT
http://arteludes.com/produit.php?ref=TR ... rubrique=3

Probably unknow by the no-french puzzlers, this burr is made with 18 pieces and named TRIPLE CROIX (TRIPLE CROSS).
This burr hasn’t been made for many years and has never been made in this beautiful quality.

Image

In this burr not rotation is allowed. It has no empty space inside. In spite of this, its disassembling is more difficult than you can think. The reassembly is very difficult and need a lot of attention and concentration.
It will be pleasant to assemble and disassemble when you know it well.
It’s also a good introduction to difficult burrs for the casual puzzlist.

This is one of the most impressive 18 pieces Burr and one of the most difficult to solve (nearly impossible to reassemble).
150 moves are necessary to take away the first piece. The disassembling is a real adventure which will keep you busy for many hours, stimulating your curiosity at each step.

4 precious woods ave been used to make this game : Purpleheart, Difou, Wenge and Padauk. (The picture show the version in Wenge, Difou and Padauk)

Though one of the pieces features an inner angle that forbids, in principle, its making out of a plain piece of wood, Maurice Vigouroux doesn’t use any glue, and chisels it specially.

All colors are natural, the puzzle is only treated and polished.
