Computing some burrs

Today I tried to develop a 6 piece burr with a special move, but I dindn't succeed. Insted I ended up in creating a set of about 400 pieces out of all about 800 possible ones. First I let burrtools create all possible pieces, then i started deleting the ones with more than 2-3 internal corners and a...

Re: What makes a good burr puzzle ?

Thank you very much for those thoughts! What makes a good burr puzzle is what I think many of us puzzlers have asked themselves, and these criteria seem to be a very nice summary of how you could describe a nice burr. Another thing I liked about that text, was that I was finally confirmed that there...

Re: burrtools files

Great=) Thats an important issue that I did not think about! First, I think we shouldn't upload files with the puzzle in solved state but just the pieces, because it shouldn't be a spoiler- and those who are interested can stil solve it themselves. Second: I guess it would be ok to upload a burrtool...

burrtools files

Is it possible to upload burrtools-files to somewhere here and then link them to the corresponding puzzle-page? Just had the idea, that this would be a great additional feature, don't you think?

Philippe Dubois' Burr

hi everyone this weekend I built philippe duboi's burr out of beechwood 1,25cm/unit. I did every piece just with handsaw, chisel and knive. When I made the pieces, I was not satisfied by the precision, but then, when I assembled the puzzle, it was greater than i thought=) And as it was the first tim...
