Rhombic crosses (id help)

I've got some burrs that I would like to add to the wiki, but I don't know their designer or name. Could you help me to identify them ? They are some kinds of "rhombic crosses", of the same category as the well-known Rhombic Star , or Snowflake from Pentangle. The first one consists in 24 identical ...

Re: What puzzles can I add to the wiki ?

Thanks to both for your quick reply.
I'm basically going to add puzzles from my collection, since I have nice pictures of them.

Re: Livecubes

Hello Louis, I actually used Livecubes in order to try 18-pieces classical burrs designs before choosing one to have made out of wood. I got them directly from the Live Cube shop, because they have got more accessories and choice than any other seller : http://www.livecubeshop.com/15cmcubes.html The...

What puzzles can I add to the wiki ?

Hello, I would like to contribute to the wiki puzzle pages, but I have a few questions about the puzzles that may be posted there. My situation is a bit borderline because I know some woodworkers who are fond of puzzles, and they sometimes build previously unreleased puzzles. Many designs can be fou...

Re: Solutions

A potential problem comes to my mind. If we take the Mega Six for example, it appears in Ishino's site, but the detail is hidden.

The author may not be pleased if we publicly post the picture of the pieces. He might want to keep them secret in order to add to the commercial value of the puzzle.

Re: Solutions

Hello, I think that a "solution" subforum with restricted access would be a good idea. Sometimes, solutions given by the seller are not optimal, or difficult to understand. Vinco's Ocvalhedrons, for example, can be quite hard to open, even with the solution, while some tricks allow to open them with...

Re: Favourite/Worst Puzzle Types

Hello, My favourite puzzles are high level burrs with "logical sequences". Examples : Condor's Peeper (Jack Krijnen) Tiros (Alfons Eyckmans) Ultraburr (Donald Ossealer) ... For me, a logical sequence is something that looks like the "ideal sequence" described by Donald in this thread, 11th message :...

Re: Introduce Yourself...

Hello, I am glad to have found this place. At last a public forum dedicated to mechanical puzzles ! My name is Guillaume Largounez. I use to post in John Rausch's forum, and from time to time in the blog dedicated to the french puzzle meetings, together with jean-Baptiste : http://jeu-et-casse-tete....
