Re: Ex Revomaze Members Area

No ... the "wall" is 20+ years of trying to solve a 3x3, and finding no fun in doing so.

Re: Triangular sticks

So assuming I do make a Jupiter .... would people prefer the simple Jupiter, more complicated Saturn, or darn right dastardly Sphinx?

Once I have one made, it can be used as a jig for making the others ...

Triangular sticks

I've been looking at making a few triangular sticks. Seems that there's no-one out there really playing with triangular sticks, and there's a few puzzles that I'd love to add to my collection that use triangular sticks. In the coming *insert time here as its always longer than we think* I'll be maki...

Re: Ex Revomaze Members Area

You see it's this exact problem that keeps me from enjoying twisties ... "Just learn an algorithm and ...." I write algorithms in code for a living, so the thought of relaxing' by learning an algorithm does not sound like fun, or relaxation to me at all. Puzzles for me are something that take my min...

Re: My trick lock puzzle project

I also spent some time playing with this at MPP 10.5 thanks to Allard, and have some comments for you. Should I send you a PM or is there an email you'd rather I sent you comments too.

Overall, great puzzle lock, and as a first design, it's superb.

Re: Midlands Puzzle Party (MPP)

Ok, as you know I'm heading to the UK in a couple of weeks. I will be bringing a few puzzles with me, and a few other bits and bobs. I don't have a lot of time, but are there any requests? Here's what I'll be bringing with me. Cover Up (couple of copies) Square in a Bag (couple of copies) Hex Stair ...

Re: Louis' Revomaze

Interesting thoughts Chris. I'll look forward to seeing and playing with one of these myself. I have no doubt that as with all shapeways printings, that with repeated use, the little burrs and gravel will wear off after a few uses.

All in all, it's a great achievement!

Re: Louis' Revomaze

Congratulations Louis! I'm quite blown away that the push you needed to make the maze was the clear sleeve. I've talked about making an entirely wooden maze (wooden sleeve and core) given that I was able to remake silver in wood, and can now easily make a wooden sleeve, and even challenged Derek to ...

Re: My trick lock puzzle project

I'll look forward to having a play with that on May then Allard, and hopefully pickup up one of my own in due time.

Congratulations Splinter, sounds like you've got a winner there.

Well Chris, the flights are booked, and I'll have a couple of days in the MPP area in May, so hopefully we can catch up ...
