Re: Is this puzzle missing a piece?

I also have this puzzle in my collection, and I can confirm that you are not missing a piece. It is not designed as a packing puzzle, but as a tangram variation. The challenge of this puzzle is to make 58 symmetrical shapes, see the attached 'instruction' sheet. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2017...

Re: Strijbos Cylinders

That looks a lot like the aluminum cylinder, it is also appropriately named in the URL. In other words this is not the washer cylinder and not a third cylinder. Did you try asking Wil for the washer cylinder?

Re: Need Help With 12 Piece Burr(?)

Two pieces are different, 3rd from left and 2nd from right. I have a bamboo puzzle that uses these pieces, see picture for the intended shape. I don't know it's name though. Image

LiveCubes

I use the 15mm livecubes for many tryouts, and they work just fine, as long as the puzzle pieces don't become too large. Up to 6 or 8 in a row is fine, I avoid longer parts because they tend to break apart while solving a puzzle. At IPP the 20mm cubes were used and they seem to be fine too, although...

This seller has several 'old looking' locks, some of which may be considered trick locks. This particular lock is relatively cheap ($45, free shipping worldwide), and he has...

Re: Swing lock

Yes, all verslons have a non-transparant cover that comes off when the screws are removed. Behind that cover there is a transparent 2nd cover which shows the mechanism. This is definitely an added value in my view!

Re: Swing lock

The metal swing lock is right here right now, and it is very impressive! It is good looking in shiny metal, the same weight as a Revomaze, and rattling like a confusing puzzle. Not to mention the two (or four?) keyholes with additional confusing features! When handled exactly the right way in the ri...

Trick knives & matchboxes ?

One of the puzzle (sub-) categories in Jerry Slocums classification is "trick knives", another one is "trick matchboxes" Both are part of the category "take apart puzzles" Do you know an example of a trick knife puzzle? Also, I was wondering... Would Peter Hajek's matchbox puzzle classify as "trick ...
