Re: Wil's Angel Box - Lock/Plate Codes
I took the plate code and subtracted puzzle number and Bingo! Shame it was a fluke!

Re: Wil's Angel Box - Lock/Plate Codes
It's done! What a wonderful work of engineering! I loved it!
I haven't dared tell Mrs S how much it cost!!!
My puzzle number is 21
The code on the plate is 1268 (Allard has this too!)
The combination for my lock is 1247
Who's got my plate then?

Re: Ex Revomaze Members Area
but ultimately I couldn't see how the moves I was doing were doing what they did (if that makes sense?)... or at least, I couldn't see how they were moving cubes without disrupting others. There's no way I would be able to solve on without learning someone else's set of moves - and to me, that's no...

Re: Ex Revomaze Members Area
It's just algorithms Oli. Once you know the basic ones they can be used on pretty much every twisty puzzle, with the same effect. Obviously some twisties require more complex algorithms due to parity errors. :D :D At last!!! Someone else who "gets it"! Twisties aren't really difficult. You start wi...

Re: Ex Revomaze Members Area
Guillaume, a ghost cube is not that expensive compared to some of the burrs you have collected. Mine was $90. It's a fun solve and not too tough. The 4x4 version is horrendously tough!

Re: Ex Revomaze Members Area
That's a very nice little collection there Joe! It is still a little collection however! I am up to 92 of them with no duplications! I really don't understand why general puzzlers don't seem to like twisties? They are truly logical, have huge variety and their repeatability is a real boon. All I hav...

Re: Midlands Puzzle Party (MPP)
Hi Guillaume, yes I did solve Nickel box. It took me about 3 weeks in total! I got seriously stuck at one point but found it by accident in the end. I am currently struggling with congestion - it is much harder as there are so many degrees of freedom! I hope it is solvable without Burrtools! I have ...
