It is definitely not a simple problem, I can attest to that! I found the problem wasn't so much about working out where the pieces need to be, but more about having enough hands to actually manage it. The pieces are colour matched, so that definitely helps. Yep, definitely Wil's original cylinder. The Washer Cylinder is also for same on Sloyd. If possible, I always go to Wil for his puzzles first. It's always cheaper and his service is great.

Unfortunately I don't know for sure, but just from looking at the pieces it's hard to imagine anyone other than Stewart Coffin being the designer. He made so many unpublished variations on his designs that it could easily be of them, but we'll need someone with a better history of Stewart's work to ...
