Re: Wil's Angel Box - Lock/Plate Codes
Box 46 Plate 1457 Lock 1246 Marmot Man and I probably hacked the lock the same way. Wil was okay with. Question: I wonder how many puzzlers (%) have also went through some lock picking phase? I'll start a new thread for that so not to go off topic... I did that too and told Wil about it. In the end...

Re: Lock picking puzzlers
I did a bit of lockpicking and still try it now and then. I am not great at it, but I like it when a lock pops open. I started young with simple locks and an utensil I had on a pocket knife back then. Then later on I acquired a lockpicking set and tried some more modern locks. Some of these are diff...

Re: Wil's Angel Box - Lock/Plate Codes
Yes, I did ring the number. I got some lady on the phone, who couldn't really understand me and vice versa. I looked the code up and this could be Vatican city, as Wil suggested in another e-mail.
No added value there, apart from harassing a nun (possibly).

Re: Wil's Angel Box - Lock/Plate Codes
Ok, since we're admitting that we thought the code on the plate should be the code on the lock... who else tried entering the code from the back of the lock? I tried that a few times too... just to make sure   I told Wil I am into lockpicking a bit and that I would try to crack it as wel...

Re: Introduce Yourself...
Hi everyone. I am Peter and I joined this forum pretty late I see. Some of you may know me from the Renegade forum, the Revomaze forum (although I haven't been very active there) or from meeting at Wil's Queen's Day puzzle party or the Dutch Cube Day. I have been interested in puzzles for a long tim...

Re: Wil's Angel Box - Lock/Plate Codes
I think I agree with the thought that the plates should be left with the boxes they came with. It confused me in the beginning, so that is a good thing (for a puzzle). I must have tried out the wrong combination 3 times at least before I found out I had been duped.

Re: Wil's Angel Box - Lock/Plate Codes
Hi guys, my box number is #6. The digital code on the plate is 2678 and my lock combination is 2356. I thought Wil had put a hint in his e-mail (floors 2^ and 5^) and worked from there. Just lucky I heard  . But it's only 70 possibilities all in all as far as I can make out, so easy to solve an...
