Re: Lock picking puzzlers
I've dabbled in lock picking, I wouldn't say I'm that skilled though, I have a bit of a problem with security pins!! Oli (Paradox) has dabbled too and we know a few others from the Revomaze forum. So maybe not as many as you thought. Answer: Shovel (though I've never heard of a side bar .... amateur...

Re: Hexsticks, plans? angles?
I'm guessing it comes from the fact that the "sticks" that make the puzzle are "hex"-agonal .....

Re: Triangular sticks
Ahh now I see. Thanks for the info guys.
I've only played with Allard's Three Layer Tetraxis Array from Kostick, at MPP9, which was brilliant. If only I could afford one

Re: Ex Revomaze Members Area
I just love how they move and how you have to move things out of the way to move other things!! The 3x3 Rubik's cube is definitely one of my favourite puzzles, as is Tony Fisher's Siamese 4x4, I haven't been able to put that down recently. I can't wait till I get my ZhanChi, gunna learn as many algo...

Re: Ex Revomaze Members Area
I can only remember about 20 algorithms, at the most. But I could only apply them if I had a cube in front of me, in the way the algorithm is supposed to be used. I can't do an algorithm on a solved cube cos my memory is also terrible and I can't see the patterns

Re: Ex Revomaze Members Area
It's just algorithms Oli. Once you know the basic ones they can be used on pretty much every twisty puzzle, with the same effect. Obviously some twisties require more complex algorithms due to parity errors. For me though, instead of remembering the algorithm sequence I prefer to remember the patter...

Re: Ex Revomaze Members Area
Nice collection Kevin. I only have 14 twisties :( (2 Rubik's 3x3s but one is a 1985 Toy of the Year Edition ;) ). I also need to buy another 4x4 as mine got dismantled at drunken gathering and some pieces got lost! I still haven't dared scramble my Ghost 4x4, don't have the balls!! I'll be loo...
