I'm glad that the Pentapod was of interest. I had a lot of fun designing and building it. If anyone does feel like taking on the challenge of building one in wood or metal do get in touch!

I think you are right matchbox puzzles are essentially puzzle boxes with matches in them.
Originally the matchboxes were known as Vesta Cases (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vesta_case).
A search on "puzzle Vesta" or "trick vesta" turns up numerous examples.

Thanks Chris. It is a very, very neat idea. Potentially a game changer. As Oskar says, the following puzzles were designed in the Netherlands, sliced in the US and built in the UK. Neat!
