"I've always admired this puzzle, and was thrilled when Markus kindly gave me permission to make it. It's a three by three cube unlike any you've ever experienced. Sideways and diagonal pins join the cubes together, resulting in a difficult puzzle with moves you aren't used to. A nice challenge for the intermediate and experienced puzzler, and a beautiful display piece. Construction of this puzzle was very very difficut. I spent an inordinate amount of time working on the fit and alignment of the pieces. The diagonal pins in particular were trying, since it's very difficult to locate the holes and make the joint strong enough to resist twisting. This puzzle requires NO force to solve! The pieces are definitely strong enough to hold up under normal solving attempts, but it should be known that if you twist the diagnonally joined cubes hard enough, they will separate, so please take care with this puzzle and maybe don't lend it to beginners."
